Maintenance Treatment

What is Maintenance?

AMATA’s Maintenance treatment phase utilizes Methadone, Suboxone, Buprenorphine, Vivitrol and other FDA approved medications deemed effective in treating opioid addiction. Maintenance treatment has evolved over the past few decades, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is now considered the Gold Standard treatment for opioid addiction due to the overwhelming evidence of its effectiveness.

Why is Maintenance Important?

As you go through outpatient detox you may have trouble coping with emotional and behavioral issues that are difficult to manage on your own. During the Maintenance Treatment Phase, you will be assigned a case manager, medical and psychological referrals, individual, family and group counseling, community support resources, patient education, peer recovery support.

How Do I Know If I Need Maintenance Treatment?

Most relapses occur because individuals go through detox and residential rehab without receiving outpatient treatment resources. Our success stems from taking current medical best practices combined with a holistic approach to addiction recovery.  You are the most important piece of your addiction recovery. Medication Assisted Treatment services alone do not determine your success in achieving long-term sobriety.
